Research Interests

At AiTonomy, we are  working on seeking collaboration on a number of high-impact AI initiatives outlined below:

Industry Applications of AI

AI tools for climate change and sustainability initiatives

Climate change is perhaps posing the greatest challenge to all industries and communities world over. We are investigating AI tools to objectively measure climate change impact from business and industry locations, as well as measure the impact of sustainability initiatives to reduce the cost of climate change.

Research interests in AI

Automated analysis of imagery and scenes

Detecting objects in images or scenes with AI is now common-place. But there are challenges with deriving insights and actions from images or scenes with or without other datasets. This activity is still largely an analytical skill. We are invested in streamlining this process by investigating appropriate AI algorithms to automate image or scene analysis.

Optimised decision processes with Reinforcement Learning

Reinforcement Learning (RL) is a key AI paradigm that has boosted the alignment and usability of LLMs. On its own, RL, is a promising paradigm in advancing autonomous decision-making in industrial or scientific processes and in robotics. Learning to make optimum decisions within an environment from trial and error presents a new frontier for AI and robotics. We have vested interest in keeping abreast with RL research and making contributions to the area.
